Donald Hairston
Treasurer

Donald has been in his role since the inception of the JRMEF. He oversees all aspects of the organization’s finances, including the development and management of budgets, preparation of contributor’s tax receipts, and distribution of funds to awarded applicants. 

 

Donald brings nearly two decades of Head Treasurer experience in the non-profit space and three decades of financial services experience in the public sector with a focus on developing institutional business relationships. In the role of Treasurer of the JRMEF, Donald helps this organization define our strategic direction, prepare new business plans, streamline financial and procedural policies, and create monitoring and accountability structure.  

Donald holds a Bachelor of Science in business management from Janice Levin Business School at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ.​

 

Personal Statement: Having a financial services background, I have developed a deep appreciation for delivering financial education to clients which helps them realize their aspirational goals.  Jude Roberts shared a passion for financial education as well and I am pleased to participate in the capacity of Treasurer of the Educational Fund in Jude’s honor which will help so many be educated for years to come.
